Haiti Relief Efforts

The situation is Haiti is devastating and many of our Partners are asking how they can help. The following are a couple of ways:

• San Diego Jewish Academy – Beginning Sunday, January 24th at 10:00 am, SDJA will be collecting supplies to send to Haiti. They have arranged for the goods to be shipped to Miami and stored in a warehouse at the docks until they can be forwarded to Haiti. Click here for a list of needed supplies. Bring your donations to the SDJA Upper School parking lot and follow the directions to the unloading area (11860 Carmel Creek Road, Carmel Valley 92130).

• Partners in Health – PIH has been working on the ground in Haiti for over 20 years. (You may have heard of this organization from Founder Paul Farmer's book, Mountains beyond Mountains). Right now, they are addressing emergency medical needs: procuring emergency medical supplies, basic living necessities, as well as transportation and logistics support for the tens of thousands of people that will be seeking care at mobile field hospitals in the capital city. • Project Concern International – PCI has mobilized its emergency response team in Haiti, which will be working with local and international partners. In the coming days, they will focus their efforts on delivering hygiene kits and other emergency supplies, medicines and medical equipment to those most affected. Thank you for your caring and concern.
